The most important thing in a dental practice is trust between team members. It’s necessary to create an enjoyable and positive environment where patients are happy to visit the practice and are so glad when they leave the practice also.
This gives the practice receptionists a vital role, as a patient’s impression of the clinic can be determined entirely by their interaction with our receptionists. They are the face of the practice and communication window between the patient and us.
Dentistry is a very personal health care service and should always be delivered with careful planning and customisation for each individual. Good customer service is being able to understand the patient’s needs and being able to provide for those needs.
I like to organise things in a planned and orderly manner, so there are no surprises, and I strongly believe in the famous quote from Benjamin Franklin, “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.”
And I take my job very seriously and like to take the time to plan things carefully.
It’s not just about ensuring the patient’s experience while seeing the dentist. Their experience begins when they first walk in and continues until they leave. The whole experience should be a pleasant one.“
