Dr Brent J Woods is a male Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
Brent is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon living and working in Victoria. He completed degrees in Science and Medicine at the University of Queensland. Following this he undertook surgical training within the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons from 2005 – 2007. Brent then completed a degree in Dentistry before moving to Melbourne where he completed specialist surgical training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery within the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. Brent then undertook further specialist training in facial trauma in Perth at Fiona Stanley Hospital.
He has trained and worked in many hospitals across Victoria and Australia, gaining experience in a wide range of Oral and Maxillofacial conditions, from minor oral pathology to complex facial reconstructive surgery. He has a special interest in corrective jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery), facial trauma and dentoalveolar surgery including extraction of impacted teeth and dental implants.
Brent participates in ongoing education through regular attendance at Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery conferences. He is a member of the RACDS (Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons), ANZAOMS (Australian and New Zealand Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons) and the ADA (Australian Dental Association). He is also involved in the training of junior medical staff through his appointments at several public teaching hospitals.
He conducts private practice at Victorian Oral & Facial Surgeons in Brighton, through the Monash University Health Service, and with Midwestern Dental Specialists in Ballarat.
