Dr Bernard Lim is a male Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
Bernard Lim graduated top of his class from Dentistry in 1999 and graduated with honours from Medicine in 2005, with both degrees obtained from the University of Melbourne. Following this he worked as a surgical registrar gaining valuable experience in many of Melbourne’s major hospitals including St Vincent’s Hospital, The Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Austin Hospital, The Royal Childrens Hospital, Dandenong Hospital and The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne, before completing his training in the specialist field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2009.
After completing his Fellowship exam, Bernard gained further experience in the United Kingdom at London’s prestigious King’s College Hospital, where he fulfilled the role of Craniofacial Fellow. During his time in London he gained valuable experience and skills in cranioplasty techniques, complex facial trauma and orthognathic surgery.
After returning home to Melbourne, he established himself in private practice with Mr Andrew Bridgeman. He is currently a Consultant at The Austin Hospital in Heidelberg, where he practices the full range of Maxillofacial Surgery, treating patients for benign and malignant pathology, facial trauma and dento-facial deformity. He is also appointed at The Royal Dental Hospital as teaching consultant for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Bernard is a committee member of ANZAOMS (Vic) and has a keen interest in teaching both students, registrars and general dental and medical practitioners.
