Dr Ben MH Wilcox is a male General Dentist.
Ben graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England. In 2007 he received his Diploma of Membership of Joint Dental Faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons of England - MJDFRCS Eng. This consisted of an integrated 2 year course of advanced general professional training and it also serves as an entry requirement for specialist training - should one choose to specialise. This further commitment to achieving in his chosen field allowed him to continue to study at the forefront of the rapidly merging field of general restorative and cosmetic dentistry. He also has a postgraduate qualification in conscious sedation allowing him to treat unusually anxious patients more effectively.
Due to patient demand and wanting to explore the continually expanding area of cosmetic dentistry, Ben undertook further study and became accredited in Invisalign in 2005, allowing him to straighten and reposition teeth without the need for fixed brackets and unsightly metal wires. Ben is a member of the American Academy of cosmetic dentistry and has recently returned from Boston for this years AGM.
Ben joined Shore dental in 2008 and has become the practice principle after purchasing the practice from Craig Erskine-Smith who is still practicing at Shore dental sharing his 30 years of experience.
Outside dentistry Ben has multiple sporting interests including rugby union, tennis, swimming, surfing, kite boarding and ski instructing to name a few. He also has a passion for travel.
Ben is a member of the British Dental Association, the Australian Dental Association and the American Academy of cosmetic dentistry. He now includes specially developed Shore Dental techniques in his dental procedures, which ensures the highest possible standard of dental treatment - a standard and quality that has grown to be expected from Shore Dental clientele.
