Dr Barbara A Taylor is a female Specialist Periodontist.
Barbara is a periodontist, a gum specialist. She enjoys working in a long-established practice with high standards, old-fashioned values, and a happy team. Barbara is also the Research Manager for Murrumbidgee Local Health District, involved in medical, allied and oral health research.
Barbara was in general dental practice until she became fascinated by periodontal cells and molecules, so she undertook specialist training at the Sydney Dental Hospital and the University of Sydney. She’s a Fellow and Member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS), a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, and has received several awards and prizes, including the Service Medallion of the Australian Dental Association (ADA).
A registered specialist since 1994, Barbara worked in hospital and academic practice, becoming Head of the Department of Periodontics at Sydney Dental Hospital and Clinical Coordinator for the specialist training programme at the University of Sydney. She’s served on committees for NSW Health, the RACDS, Human Ethical Research Review, and as an expert witness. Barbara was recently Chair of the ADA (Southern Division) and volunteers with community organizations.
