Dr Andrew WL Chio is a male General Dentist.
Dr Andrew Chio, who is the principle dentist of Arawatta Dental Centre, completed his dental degree from the University of Melbourne in 1995, where he graduated at the top of his year. On graduation he then undertook his dental internship at the Bendigo Base Hospital before spending the next one and a half years working in a rural hospital in Nepal.
Dr Chio is a strong advocate for a comprehensive and thorough approach to dental care and has a keen interest in the field of reconstructive and cosmetic dentistry. He devotes a significant portion of his time each year to attending numerous training and continuing education courses to keep up to date with the best of emerging dental technologies and materials. He is one of a few dentists in the country that has undergone extensive training at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. The institute is a unique, hands on, advanced training centre for dentists worldwide that wish to develop a critical eye for excellence and offer amazing cosmetic and rehabilitative services to their patients. Dr. Chio has chosen to be a member of a variety of dental groups because he believes it to be important to stay involved in the profession he serves. These include membership in the Australian Dental Association and The Seattle Study Club. He is also in the advisory board to Dental Ed, one of the premier continuing education provider not only in Australia but world wide and a key opinion leader with 3M-ESPE, one of the leading manufacturers of dental equipment and materials in the world today.
Dr Chio is also involved in the education of dentists in a lecturing capacity as well as assisting in specialty hands on courses designed to provide dentists with advanced training in specific areas of restorative dentistry.
