Dr Andrea R Rouse is a female General Dentist.
Prior to her qualification as a Dentist Dr. Andrea Rouse trained and worked for several years as a Dental Therapist, treating children in the mid North Region of South Australia, working in areas such as Clare, Riverton, Eudunda and Port Pirie.
Throughout her studies to become a Dentist Andrea was the recipient of several awards and scholarships including The Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry Prize and a South Australian Foundation for Dental Education and Research scholarship. She is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society for Academic Excellence and was also selected to participate in a research project in Bristol UK in 2009.
Andrea enjoys travelling overseas and likes to incorporate volunteering into her trips. She went to Cambodia in 2008 and 2012 where she provided dental care for orphaned, HIV infected and disabled children. In 2011 she went to Vietnam and worked in the small town of Long Tan, a site made famous by the brutal battle that took place there during the Vietnam War. She did a clinical placement with the Royal Flying Doctors Service in 2009 and also worked within the Special Needs Unit at the Adelaide Dental Hospital. Here she cared for medically compromised patients (HIV, Hep C, head and neck cancer, systemic diseases).
Andrea is active in keeping up to date with new dental technologies, materials and concepts. She has attended several Dental Seminars and Congresses’ and has also been an active member of an implant mentor program as well as gaining her level one accreditation for implant Dentistry.
