Dr Amit Sharma is a male General Dentist who speaks Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu (as well as English).
Dr Amit Sharma, an accomplished general dentist with several decades of experience, possesses a special interest in the field of oral surgery. Dr Amit possesses a wealth of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of dental conditions. Beyond oral surgery, Dr Amit has effectively managed a variety of cases, including complex restorations, bridge and crown work, and root canal therapy. He is a member of the Australian Dental Association, the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and an affiliated member the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
1998 saw the graduation of Dr Amit with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from India.
Amit founded two clinics and established his dental practice after his graduation. He successfully passed the Australian Dental Council Examinations in 2013, after his 2012 decision to relocate to Australia.
Before commencing his tenure at Port Macquarie in 2014, he occupied positions at various private and public institutions in Victoria. For more than eight years, he held the rank of Dental Officer prior to receiving a promotion to the position of Senior Dental Officer for the health district.
Dr Amit Sharma is dedicated to expanding his knowledge and expertise while providing his patients with the most recent research and evidence-based practices. At present, Dr Amit is pursuing a Master of Clinical Dentistry–Oral Surgery program from Griffith University, Gold Coast, QLD. With patients of all ages, he has successfully performed minor oral surgical procedures, such as wisdom teeth surgeries, ,difficult extractions of teeth and pre-prosthetic surgeries, under sedation, general anaesthesia, local anaesthesia, happy gas and sedation.
As an alternative to treating specific conditions, he advocates for a holistic approach and prefers to provide patients with thorough explanations of their conditions and treatment plans.
